Terms of Service
Last updated: October 16, 2026
These terms apply when you use our website, book an event, or take a seat at one of our tables. By doing any of those, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Eventful is operated by Sage VC LLC (“Eventful”, “we”, “us”). “You” means whoever is using our website or services: a host, a guest or a visitor.
2. What we do
A company (the “host”) books an event with us. We agree who should be in the room, find and invite those people, confirm them, book the venue and set up the event under the host’s name. Formats include restaurant tables, private rooms, villas, experiences such as sport or morning events, multi-day retreats and launch activations.
The specifics of any engagement, including guest profile, headcount, city, date, venue, price and deliverables, are set out in the proposal, invoice or agreement we send you (your “Order”). If your Order conflicts with these terms, the Order wins.
3. Terms for companies hosting an event
Fees and payment
Your Order sets out our fee for each event and any add-ons, such as a field coordinator, Archit on site, a photographer or follow-up gifts. We send an invoice once you confirm the format and date. Our fee is paid in full upfront, because outreach starts on day one. We hold your date and begin work once it is paid.
Food and drink are billed separately at cost, against the receipts. We never mark them up. You approve the food and drink budget before we book anything, and we will not exceed it without asking you. Anything else your Order lists as at cost is handled the same way.
Launch activations and other formats we have not run before are scoped individually and priced against real supplier quotes. Your Order for those sets its own terms.
Who we fill the room with
We agree the guest profile with you before outreach begins and only seat people who match it. We count a guest as confirmed when they have qualified against that profile and reconfirmed attendance, not when they RSVP. Because some people always drop on the day, we deliberately confirm more guests than seats. If a confirmed guest drops before the event, we work to replace them with someone who fits the same profile. If we fall short of the confirmed headcount in your Order, we will tell you before the event and agree a fix, such as a credit, a refund of the shortfall or moving the date.
On the day
By default we set up the room, brief the venue and hand it over, and your team hosts. Nobody from Eventful is on site unless your Order includes a field coordinator or Archit on site. You are responsible for your team’s conduct at the event and for anything you present or say there.
What you get afterward
Guest profiles arrive about 48 hours before the event. Within about 48 hours after it, you get the attendee list with titles and companies, every registration answer (including from people who did not attend), our notes on who is worth a second conversation, and introductions to anyone you want to reach again.
What we don’t promise
We put the right people in the room. We cannot guarantee what happens after that, including meetings, pipeline, deals or revenue. Any figures on our website describe past results and are not a promise of future ones.
Moving or cancelling your event
Unless your Order says otherwise:
- You can move your date with at least ten days’ notice, subject to venue availability. Your fee carries over to the new date.
- If you cancel before we start outreach, we refund the fee in full. Once outreach has started, the fee is non-refundable, but you can still move the event to a new date.
- Inside ten days of the event, any venue, food or supplier costs we cannot recover are yours.
- There is no lock-in. You commit only to the events you book.
- If we have to cancel, we will offer a new date or a full refund of everything you paid for that event.
Your materials
You give us your brand assets, ideal guest profile and sign-off on the registration questions and venue. You let us use your name, logo and event materials to invite guests and run your event. You confirm you have the right to give us that permission. You are responsible for any content, gifts or claims you ask us to share with guests.
Guest information
Registration answers and guest details are yours to use for following up with those guests. Use them only for that purpose and your own relationship with those people, honour any opt-out a guest sends you, and comply with applicable privacy and anti-spam laws. Do not sell or publish guest lists.
4. Terms for guests
Invitations and seats
Seats at hosted events are by invitation and are personal to you. Please don’t pass them on without asking us. Guests never pay to attend: the host covers the event.
To get a seat you answer the host’s registration questions. Those answers go to the host whether or not you attend, as described in our Privacy Policy. Private venue addresses are shared only with confirmed guests. Please don’t post them.
If you can’t make it
Tell us as early as you can so we can offer your seat to someone else. If we move or cancel an event, we will let you know as soon as possible.
Food, drink and allergies
We pass your dietary needs and allergies to the venue. Venues prepare the food, not us, and they cannot always guarantee a kitchen is free of allergens. Please confirm anything serious with the venue staff on the night. Alcohol is served only to guests of legal drinking age, and you are responsible for how much you drink and how you get home.
Behaviour
Treat other guests, hosts, staff and venues with respect. No harassment, discrimination, unwanted solicitation or recording others without their permission. We and the host can ask anyone to leave and decline future bookings. Report anything that goes wrong to lal00020@umn.edu.
Photos
Events may be photographed. Photos may be shared with attendees and posted by us and the host. If you’d rather not appear, tell us on the night or afterward and we will take you out of anything we publish.
5. Venues and other third parties
Venues, caterers, transport and other suppliers are independent businesses. We choose them carefully but are not responsible for their acts, omissions or premises. If something goes wrong with a supplier, we will help you sort it out.
6. Our website and content
Our website, brand, page designs and materials belong to Sage VC LLC. You may not copy or reuse them without permission, scrape guest or event information from our pages, or use our site to break the law or interfere with how it works.
7. Disclaimers
Other than what we expressly promise in these terms or your Order, our website and services are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Sage VC LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, deals or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the event the claim relates to. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
9. Indemnity
If you are a host, you will cover our reasonable costs from third-party claims arising from your materials, your instructions to us, or your use of guest information in breach of these terms.
10. Disputes
If something goes wrong, email us first. Most problems get fixed in a conversation. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be heard by the state or federal courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it locally.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and changes apply to bookings made after that date. Your existing Order keeps the terms it was made under.
12. Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
